 Meet other cross-country skiers, snowshoers, and hikers and make new friends. Enjoy organized cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, and hiking tours. Help stock the ski shelters with firewood and maintains these shelters, and maintains cross-country ski trails in Central Oregon.

 Come and explore an old cinder cone located just east of Bend. Hike up and around on one of three trails. The trails wind through stands of juniper and sage. All of the trails lead to the summit. Once at the top, get ready for a grand panoramic view of the high desert.

 There are over 1500 climbing routes in and around the park ranging from some of the best sport climbs in the world to... “Why would anyone want to climb that pile of choss”. People climb year-round, but summer temperatures can reach 100+ degrees (f), and in the dead of winter the thermometer stays close to the freezing mark (32f) during the day. Spring and fall are the most popular climbing months.

 Virginia Meissner Sno-Park is Bend's community ski recreation area located off Century Drive on the way to Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort. The area features 30 km of exceptional track, stunning views and a variety of terrain, for both skating and classic technique. Tumalo Langlauf Club grooms Meissner three days per week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from December 1 - March 31 thanks to support from Bend Metro Park & Recreation.
